Launched in 2012, Flat / Head Films is the brainchild of filmmaker Laura Adkin and a Canadian production company focused on the storytelling of diverse voices - especially those of women. Having produced shorts, digital series and feature films, Flat / Head Films is always on the lookout for stories that push boundaries and spark conversations
Flat / Head Films was founded by filmmaker Laura Adkin as a way to gain control over the stories she wanted to tell. Having been an actor since childhood Laura was used to having other people make the decisions around the stories she was apart of and wanted to change that. She produced her first short film The Interrogation in 2012 and never looked back. With a focus on diverse storytelling especially on female driven stories, Laura and Flat/Head Films have produced everything from digital series to short films and their first feature Re:Uniting.
Always on the hunt for the next project, Flat/Head Films is currently in development on the feature film Out of Luck as well as a number of TV projects.
*Please note that Flat/Head Films cannot accepted unsolicited materials. If you would like to submit a project for consideration please have it go through your representation.
